Planning to go away for the holiday season makes the holidays better. Getting together with grandma and loved ones is just not the holidays if you're not all together. If you want to make the best of the holiday season, you will want to go over these items on the checklist prior to leaving on your trip.
It doesn't matter if you are 400 miles from your family or 1000 miles from family. The road trip will go wrong if there is anything wrong with your vehicle prior to the trip.
The one thing to check first is the oil. Look to see if you need oil put in the car and check to see when your last oil change was. If it is close to being that time again, you should have it done prior to leaving for your holiday season.
Transmission fluid is vital to making sure that your transmission shifts properly. If you notice that your car misfires when driving, you could need more transmission fluid or it may need to be changed. These two things will help to keep you on the road while going away for the holidays.
